University of Mississippi and New York Giants quarterback Charlie Conerly wore this red Ole Miss sweater in 1947, during his final year with Ole Miss. Conerly joined the Ole Miss team in 1942, although his collegiate career was interrupted by valorous service in the United States Marines during World War II. Conerly was the SEC Player of the Year and an All-American in 1947 after leading Ole Miss to their first SEC title. Conerly, who would later play the Marlboro Man in advertisements, played his entire 14-year professional career with the New York Giants, who retired his number “42”. Conerly is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame. This offered Ole Miss Rebels sweater is red, with a black block “M” sewn on the chest. A “King Sportswear Company” and “C. Conerly” tags are sewn on the back inside collar of this historic football garment. This sweater comes with a PMG LOA.
