New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter wore this cap circa 1995, his debut season. Jeter was called up towards the end of 1995 laying the groundwork for his breakout 1996 season, playing in 15 games with the Yankees and batting .250 with seven RBI. This navy cap has the Yankees interlocking “NY” logo embroidered on the front in white. An MLB logo patch is sewn on the back of the hat. A Diamond Collection, a New Era “the 59/50 PRO MODEL 100% WOOL” and a size 7 ¼ tags are sewn on the sweatband. Jeter’s number “2” is written on the gray underside of the brim in black marker, which displays slight bleeding. Jeter has signed the underside of the brim in black marker, which also displays slight bleeding on the bottom of his signature. This hat shows excellent game use with dirt and sweat stains on the underside brim and toning on the interlocking “NY” stitching. This hat comes with a LOA from JT Sports for the game use and a LOA from JSA (Z32461) for Jeter’s signature.
