New York Yankees star third baseman Graig Nettles wore this Yankees batting helmet circa 1978. Nettles played 11 years for the Yankees after joining the Bronx Bombers in 1973 from the Cleveland Indians, making five All-Star teams with the Yankees and winning the 1976 American League home run crown. In 1978, Nettles posted a Triple Crown slash line of .276/27/93 for the World Series champs and made his third career All-Star team.
This offered Yankees batting helmet is navy, with a white Yankees logo applied to the front of the helmet. Nettles’ number “9” is applied to the front of the brim in white. The flap is located over the right ear. Nettles has signed the brim of this historic helmet in silver marker. The helmet comes with a LOA from JT Sports for game use and a STICKER ONLY from JSA (G61434) for Nettles’ signature.
