Yankee Stadium – “The House That Ruth Built” – was certainly baseball’s hallowed ground. Opening in 1923 at the cost of approximately $2.5 million, it saw some of the greatest players, and teams, in the game’s history. The stadium closed at the end of the 1973 season for renovations, opening again in 1976, before closing for good in 2008 prior to being demolished. Presented here is an original 1923-1973 Yankee Stadium blue wooden seat pair, with metal frame, which show obvious use. Adding a nice touch is that these seat numbers are “3” and “4”, matching the uniform numbers of Yankee greats Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. Measurements are approximately 29-inches tall and approximately 45-inches wide. No bottom base is included.
