New York Giants Hall of Fame defensive lineman Michael Strahan wore this white Giants road jersey in a 31-21 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on December 7th, 1997 at Veterans Stadium. Strahan recovered a Bobby Hoying fumble in the second quarter, with Danny Kanell hitting David Patten for a 40-yard Big Blue touchdown on the very next play. The Giants defense was superb against the Eagles, holding Hoying to a 209-yard, three interception day and surrendering only 70 rushing yards all game. Strahan was a First Team All-Pro selection in 1997 after recording 68 tackles and 14 sacks from the left end position.
This offered Giants road jersey is white, with Strahan’s number “97” sewn on the chest, back, and shoulders in blue and red tackle twill. “STRAHAN” is sewn across the back shoulders in blue tackle twill over a matching white nameplate. A Reebok size “46” tag with an attached “Longs” flag is sewn on the front left tail. Reebok logos are located on each sleeve.
