The Hall of Fame cornerback Roger Wehrli wore this spectacular red, white, and blue College All-Star jersey in the 1969 Chicago College All-Star Game against the New York Jets. The Jets were the first American Football League team to play in this annual exhibition, with the pros eking out a 26-24 victory over a surprisingly competitive collegiate outfit. Wehrli, a star for the Missouri Tigers, was selected with the 19th overall pick of the 1969 NFL Draft by the St. Louis Cardinals. Wehrli played his entire 14-season career with the Cardinals, recording 40 interceptions and making seven Pro Bowls. The three-time First Team All-Pro selection was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2007 and the College Football Hall of Fame. Roger Staubach allegedly coined the term “shutdown cornerback” in reference to Wehrli’s ball-hawking skills.

This offered College All-Star jersey is blue, with white shoulders featuring red tackle twill stars. Wehrli’s number “22” is sewn on the chest and back in white tackle twill. The New Point, Missouri, native wore “22” in each of his 14 NFL seasons. A Wilson size “44” tag is sewn on the front left tail. This jersey comes with a PMG LOA.
