The Alabama Crimson Tide celebrated the 100th anniversary of Alabama football with an undefeated season and an upset Sugar Bowl victory over the heavily favored Miami Hurricanes—thus delivering Bama's 12th national championship. This Jostens 10K-gold, size 12 ring is crowned with a red enamel "A" surrounded by CZs and it was issued Alabama radio color announcer Doug Layton, whose initials are engraved handsomely on the inside and whose name appears in raised relief on one of the shanks. “ALABAMA”, “1992”, “NATIONAL” and “CHAMPIONS” surround the enamel A. on the front. The left shank has “SUGAR BOWL BAMA 34-MIAMI 13 CENTURY OF CHAMPIOINS” and “13-0” in raised relief. The right shank has “LAYTON” a football helmet with “A” and “SEC” in raised relief. This ring weighs approximately 32.3 grams and is NM condition. This ring comes with a wooden Jostens presentation box that has “UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA #1 1992 13-0 CRIMSON TIDE”.
