The Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice played in 303 regular season NFL games and wore this red San Francisco 49ers home jersey during his most productive outing as a professional. On December 18th, 1995, Rice led the 49ers to a decisive 37-30 victory over the Minnesota Vikings at 3Com Park, setting a career-high with 289 receiving yards and three touchdown catches to give the 1995 NFC West champions their 11th win of the season. Rice caught touchdown scores of 8, 46, and 31 yards from Steve Young, who finished the game with 425 yards passing and ran for a score in addition to his touchdown passes to Rice.
The former Mississippi Valley State standout set career-highs in 1995 with 1,848 receiving yards and 115.5 receiving yards per game, leading the NFL in both categories. The 33-year old was Pro Bowler and a member of the First Team All-Pro team after his fantastic season that extended his streak of 1,000 receiving yard seasons to 10. Rice played through the 2004 season with the Raiders and Seahawks before retiring. In 2010, the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio opened its doors to the greatest wide receiver of all time.
