Hall of Fame offensive tackle Orlando Pace was the first overall selection by the St. Louis Rams in 1997 and immediately bolstered the offensive line that would later add Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner and usher in the “Greatest Show on Turf” teams of the late 1990’s and early 2000’s. Pace wore this St. Louis Rams helmet during the 2000 season where the Rams reached the Super Bowl for the second time in three seasons. This Riddell navy helmet with gold ram horns displays heavy game use with numerous abrasions and chip marks. The facemask is navy and also has chipped paint and contact marks. The interior padding is still intact, along with the chin strap. The NFL shield sticker is affixed to the lower back left of the helmet and a white cover with “RAMS” is on the base of the helmet. The gold-painted horns have some discoloration and Pace has signed his name in black marker and inscribed “#76” and “2000”. This helmet comes with a LOA from PM&G, Inc for the game use and a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A25596) for the signature.
