Presented is a Derek Jeter and Johnny Damon dual signed 16 x 20-inch color reproduction of the April 4, 2005 “Baseball Preview” issue of Sports Illustrated. The cover photo depicts Jeter in his New York Yankees uniform standing with arms folded standing to the left of, and smirking at, Damon who is looking at Jeter, standing with his arms folded in his Boston Red Sox uniform. Jeter has signed his name in blue marker on his left shoulder, while Damon has signed his name in blue marker across his chest and inscribed “18” below his signature. The photo has the captions “They have what we want - Derek Jeter” and “We plan to win it again – Johnny Damon”.

The Red Sox had broken the “Curse of the Bambino” in 2004 by winning the World Series, while the Yankees lost to the BoSox in the 2004 American League Championship Series. Ironically, Damon would later become Jeter’s teammate from 2006 to 2009, helping him and the Yankees capture the 2009 World Series championship. The color photo is mounted in a white paper matte with navy-blue border and is displayed in a 22 ½ x 26 ½ -inch black wood and glass frame.
