Offered is a Muhammad Ali signature on a pair of red leather Everlast boxing gloves. The three-time heavyweight champion has signed his name in black marker on the back of the right glove across the center. The size 14 boxing gloves are red leather with black leather straps around the thumb, and black ribbon ties on the palm and between the thumb and fist. There is a white cloth Everlast logo patch on the back of each glove at the wrist. Ali burst into the public eye when he upset heavyweight champ Sonny Liston in 1964, becoming one of the greatest athletes of the 20th century. Following his suspension for refusing military service, Ali reclaimed the heavyweight title two more times during the 1970s, winning famed bouts against Joe Frazier and George Foreman along the way. This pair of boxing gloves signed by Ali is accompanied by two tickets to a May 11, 1995 benefit event with Ali in Billings, Montana, as well as a COA from the event’s sponsors, The Finmil Group and Marketing Information Systems.
