The book that is often referred to as the greatest Yankee tell-all, “The Mick” written by Mickey Mantle and Herb Gluck in 1985 gets into intimate detail about the life of Mickey Mantle from his childhood in Oklahoma to the bright lights of Yankee Stadium.  This offered copy of “The Mick” surpasses all other in terms of importance and rarity as it once belonged to Mickey’s brother Roy.  The book comes from Roy’s widow, Mary Mantle and has been signed in blue ball point pen by Mickey Mantle.  Mickey added an ultra-personal and sentimental message to his brother as well stating, “Thanks for being a great brother all the years.”  With truly an emotional and rewarding sentiment inscribed by “The Mick”, Roy keep this book until his passing.  It has been authenticated by JSA and comes with a full Loa as well as a copy of the letter of authentication from Mary Mantle stating this came from the collection of his brother Roy.
