Jeter, who has signed this ball twice, went 2 for 3 with a walk and run scored that night. Yankees ace reliever Rivera took over in the 9th, striking out the side to nail down the win and earn his 20th save. All 3 signatures are in blue ballpoint, Jeter and Rivera signing below the special 1923-2008 Yankees Stadium logo, and, perhaps in commemoration of his 2 hits, the Yankees captain signed the sweet spot as well.
