In 1950 Charles M. Schulz introduced us to what would become the most famous beagle of all time and his group of quirky friends. First through daily comic strips and later in network television specials, Schultz gave the world a group of unforgettable characters. Throughout the years
Schulz drew this pack of friends in a variety of different sports scenarios like ice skating, football, and of course, baseball (remember, Charlie Brown is president and sole member of the Joe Shlabotnik Fan Club). This wonderful display focuses on the gang’s diamond activities and features six Dolly Madison baseball cards arranged around two original Schulz drawings. The Dolly Madison issue is rarely scene and this complete set of all six cards are in very good condition. The top illustration is a black and white reproduction of a pen and ink drawing showing the whole Peanuts gang: Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Linus, Schroeder, Pigpen, Peppermint Pattie, Lucy, Franklin, Sally, Violet and Frieda. The key component of this display is the bottom sketch which depicts Snoopy and is signed “Charles M. Schulz”. It has been encapsulated by PSA/DNA and graded AUTHENTIC. The entire display is attractively framed and mounted, measuring 23 1/2 wide by 27” tall. A truly great tribute to America’s most beloved cartoon characters and our national pastime.
