Mickey Mantle's first number he wore with the New York Yankees was No. 6. He received No. 7 when making his return after being sent to the minors. This Mitchell & Ness replica jersey looks and feels almost the same as the one Mantle wore during his 1951 rookie season down to the heavy flannel feel and replica American League 50th Golden Anniversary patch on the left sleeve. This jersey has the Mitchell & Ness tag in the collar and the "Cooperstown Collection" tag on the lower front tail. The reverse has Mantle's number "6" plus a bold black Sharpie "Mickey Mantle No. 6" signature below. The bottom right has the Limited Edition number "41/1951." Under each arm is some slight glue residue from where it appears this jersey might have been in a framed display. This could very easily be removed.
