Former linebacker Wally Hilgenberger wore this home purple Minnesota Vikings jersey circa 1970. Hilgenberger had two interceptions in 1970 as he helped lead the Vikings to a 12-2 record and the NFC Central Division title. This jersey was manufactured by Sand-Knit and is a size 48.  Hilgenberger’s number “58” is screen-printed on the front, back and sleeves in white. The sleeves have white and yellow stripes. “HILGENBERGER” is sewn on the back in white tackle twill on a matching purple nameplate that is above the number. The collar is rounded and the crotch strap, which had the manufacturer’s tag, has been removed. This jersey displays moderate game use with team repairs on the front and right shoulder, paint marks and other abrasions. This jersey comes with a LOA from PM&G for the game use.
