The American League All-Star team scored six runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back in a 9-4 victory over the National League in the 2004 Major League Baseball All-Star Game held in Houston. Alfonso Soriano homered and knocked in three runs on his way to being named the game’s Most Valuable Player. Manny Ramirez and David Ortiz also homered for the A.L. squad. Mark Mulder picked up the victory on the mound.
Offered here is a 2004 Major League Baseball American League All-Star Game ring that was presented to Mel Stottlemyre, then the pitching coach for the New York Yankees.
