Former linebacker Charlie Weaver wore this home blue Detroit Lions jersey during the early 1970’s.  Weaver spent 10-plus seasons with the Lions before finishing his career with the Washington Redskins in 1981. This Dureen jersey features Weaver’s number “59” sewn on in silver and white tackle twill on the front, back and sleeves. The jersey has ¾-length sleeves with silver and white stripes beneath the numbers. “C. WEAVER” is sewn on in white tackle twill on a matching blue Dureen nameplate on the back. The Sand-Knit tags (size 48) and “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the DETROIT LIONS” are sewn on the bottom front left tail. This jersey displays moderate to heavy use with some stains on the sewn-on numbers and letters on the front and back. The sewn-on numbers also display puckering and Weaver has signed his name in black marker vertically on the back “9”.
