Former left guard Ed White wore this white mesh Minnesota Vikings jersey during Super Bowl VIII played on January 13, 1974 at Rice Stadium in Houston, Texas. The Dolphins defeated the Vikings 24-7 to win their second consecutive Super Bowl title. This jersey has been photo matched to Super Bowl VIII by Resolution Photomatching and features White’s number “62” screen-printed on the front, back and sleeves in purple. “WHITE” is sewn on in purple tackle twill on a matching white nameplate on the back, above the numbers. The Sand-Knit tags “SIZE 52” and “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the Minnesota Vikings” are sewn on the bottom front left tail. This jersey displays heavy game use with team repairs on the right and left sleeves in multiple areas, team repairs on the back – including two on the number “6”, some repairs on the shoulders and flaking of the printed numbers. White has signed his name in gold pen on the “6” on the back. A great gamer from one of the early Super Bowls and this has been photo matched to Super Bowl VIII by Resolution Photomatching, who have provided an LOA (426410). There is also a LOA from Beckett Authentication for the signature.
