Former Pittsburgh Steeler’s linebacker Mike Merriweather wore this home black Steeler’s jersey during the 1985 season in which he was selected to the Pro Bowl. Merriweather had two interceptions in 1985, including a pick-six, along with four sacks. This black Dureen jersey was made by Sand-knit and is a size 50. Merriweather’s number “57” is sewn on in white tackle twill on the front, back and shoulders. “MERRIWEATHER” is sewn on in yellow tackle twill on a matching black nameplate on the back. The sleeves have the Steeler’s traditional yellow, white and black striping pattern. The Sand-Knit tag that reads “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the PITTSBURGH STEELERS”, along with an “85” patch is sewn on the bottom front left tail. The jersey displays heavy game use with numerous team repairs on the front, back and sleeves, along with puckering and loose stitching of the sewn-on numbers and letters. This jersey comes with a Steelers Authentic Memorabilia certificate of authenticity with a hologram (GU110427) affixed to the inside wash tag.
