Former Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos tight end Doug Cosbie attended Saint Francis High School in Mountain View, California. During his senior season in 1973, he led his Lancers to the Central Coast Section playoffs, where they lost 32-30 in the championship game. Following the season, the first ever Santa Clara Valley All-Star Football Game was played and Cosbie was on the North team.
Offered here is the blue jersey worn by Cosbie during the Santa Clara Valley All-Star Football Game in 1974. This mesh jersey was made by Champion and is a size XL. “SANTA CLARA”, “91” and “ALL-STARS” is screen-printed in yellow on the front. “91” is screen-printed in yellow on the sleeves and the back has “COSBIE” and “91” all printed in yellow. The jersey shows moderate game use with degradation in the yellow screen-printed numbers and letters. Cosbie signed his name in black marker on the top of the “9” on the back and inscribed on the middle rung “HS ALL STAR Game Used 1974”. A great early 1970’s jersey and it comes with a LOA from 100% Authentic for the game use and a LOA from Beckett Authentication for the signature.
