Offered here is a Detroit Lions home jersey worn by Hall of Famer Lou Creekmur during the 1957 season. Creekmur was a First-Team All-Pro selection in 1957, along with being named to the Pro Bowl after leading the Lions to the 1957 NFL Championship. This Dureen jersey displays heavy game use and has Creekmur’s number “76” sewn on in silver tackle twill on the front, back and sleeves. The jersey has several team repairs, including the numbers on the shoulder. There is a blue patch with “H” in white sewn on the inside back neck. Also included on this jersey is a six-button crotch strap which has the Rawlings size 32 tag and a “Lippman’s Detroit” tag, along with the wash tag. Above the tags is a piece of white tape that has handwritten in fade blue pen “Lou Creekmur”. There are loose threads along the sleeves and seems and there is a hole on the right sleeve above the number. A terrific late 1950’s gamer from a Hall of Fame lineman and this jersey comes with a LOA from MEARS (301025) who have graded this jersey a solid A8.5. Additionally, there is a LOA from PM& G for the game use.
