A familiar sight for American League pitchers and Beantown baseball fans for 23 years was Carl Yastrzemski’s distinct batting stance and ritualistic behavior of stretching his arms upward and pointing bats like this 34-inch Hillerich & Bradsby towards the sky. Yastrzemski’s facsimile signature is branded into the barrel of this “Powerized” Louisville Slugger (labeling period 1973-1977) which displays heavy use with a good pounding of ball marks, stitch impressions, green ink transfers and some grain separation and checking around the barrel. The model number W215 is stamped into the knob and affixed with PSA/DNA sticker (#1B05848), top of the barrel has absorbed some moisture and darkened over time; comes with full PSA/DNA letter of authenticity.
