Former NFL quarterback was the first overall pick in 1993 by the New England Patriots as the franchise was starting over with a new owner in Bob Kraft, a new coach in Bill Parcells and the new franchise quarterback in Bledsoe. Bledsoe would have several solid seasons with New England, including leading them to Super Bowl XXXI, where they lost to the Green Bay Packers.

After signing a then record 10-year deal in March of 2001, Bledsoe was poised to continue his reign as Patriots franchise quarterback. However, in Week 2 of the 2001 season, Bledsoe was severely injured on a hit by New York Jets linebacker Mo Lewis, missing several games and ultimately replaced by Tom Brady, who led the Pats to the playoffs and a victory in Super Bowl XXXVI. Bledsoe’s last hurrah with the Patriots came in the AFC Championship Game in Pittsburgh, when he came in for an injured Tom Brady led the Patriots to a 24-17 victory.

Following the 2001 season, Bledsoe was traded to division rival Buffalo and offered here is the very jersey Bledsoe wore when he faced the Patriots for the first time on November 3rd. Bledsoe was 28 of 45 for 302 yards and a touchdown in Buffalo’s 38-7 loss. This dark blue size 48 mesh jersey was made by Reebok and features Bledsoe’s number “11” sewn in white, blue and gray tackle twill on the front, back and sleeves. The NFL EQUIPMENT patch is sewn on the gray collar filler of the red V-neck collar. Blue piping runs along the chest and shoulder seems and the sides are made of a red Spandex. The back of the jersey has “BLEDSOE” is sewn on in white and blue tackle twill on a matching dark blue nameplate. The Reebok tag is sewn on the bottom front left tail with “4”L.B.” and “48” flags and the white team tag is sewn on the inside back collar that reads “02-48”. This jersey displays light game use and Bledsoe has signed his name in black marker vertically on the back left “1” and inscribed “11”. This jersey comes with a STICKER ONLY from NFL-PSA/DNA (IN04304) for Bledsoe wearing this jersey during the November 3rd, 2002 game and the signature. Please note that the NFL-PSA/DNA sticker serves as the authentication for this jersey. There is no COA or LOA from NFL PSA/DNA that will accompany this jersey.
