Guided by legendary head coach Bobby Knight, and led on the court by sharpshooter Steve Alford, the 1986-87 Indiana Hoosiers recorded an overall record of 30-4. Alford averaged 22.0 points per game, recording an incredible three-point shooting percentage of .530, while also shooting 88.9% from the free throw line. Daryl Thomas added 15.7 PPG; Dean Garrett posted a team-high 8.5 rebounds per game. After winning their first four contests in the NCAA Tournament, the Hoosiers participated in a truly memorable Final Four. First, in the national semifinal game, Indiana defeated number one-seeded UNLV, 97-93. The Hoosiers then went on to beat Syracuse, 74-73, in the championship game.

Presented here is a unique 1987 Bobby Knight Indiana University National Champions pendant that was made into a money clip. It features an “IU” logo on a red colored stone, with “INDIANA 1987 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS” reading around the bezel setting. The back of the clip includes a manufacturer’s “12KGT” mark. This item weighs approximately 19.6 grams. Included is a LOA from Steiner Sports stating the money clip comes directly from the personal collection of Bobby Knight.
