Hall of Famer Lou Groza wore this white Cleveland Browns jersey during the 1964 season and has been photo matched to the December 12, 1964 game at the New York Giants played at Yankee Stadium. Groza, who spent the first 14 seasons in the league on the offensive line primarily at left tackle switched to a kicker for his remaining seven seasons. His straight-on kicking earned him the nickname “The Toe” and he became one of the top kickers in the league and he finished his career with a 97.6% conversion rate on extra points (641/657). During the December 12th game, Groza had a 39-yard field goal and was 7-for-7 on extra points as the Browns hammered the Giants 52-20.
