This Spalding official Lee MacPhail American League ball was passed around by seven New York baseball Hall of Famers and 21 other Old-Timers with Yankees legend Mickey Mantle and Tommy Henrich sharing the sweet spot and includes Cooperstown inductees: Phil Rizzuto, Yogi Berra, Whitey Ford, Johnny Mize, Pee Wee Reese and Casey Stengel. Yankees catcher and first African-American player Elston Howard signed across the ball’s label. Other notable signatures include: Hank Bauer, Don Zimmer, Bobby Richardson, Don Larsen, Vic Raschi, Allie Reynolds, Joe Collins, Joe Page, Hector Lopez, Bobby Shantz, Spec Shea, Gene Woodling, Steve Hamilton, John Kucks, Bill Skowron, Art Ditmar, Darrell Johnson, Bill Virdon and one other. This ball has taken on a caramel color and the blue signatures have taken on a green hue over time. There is a small spot obscuring the last three letters of Mickey Mantle first name.
