After nine years, the New York Yankees were World Champions again as they knocked off the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2009 World Series. Catcher Jorge Posada collected five hits in 19 at-bats during the Yankees six-game series victory. Posada wore this navy Majestic Cool Base long sleeve warmup pullover during the 2009 World Series. The Yankees interlocking “NY” is embroidered in white below the rounded collar that has a “home plate” stitching pattern. The Majestic tag is sewn on the bottom front left tail and the “Cool Base” flag is sewn into the adjacent seem. The size tag on the inside collar has been cut off, but the pullover is an approximate size XL or XXL. The outside back collar has the MLB logo patch sewn on and below that is Posada’s number “20” embroidered in white stitching. The left sleeve has the “2009 WORLD SERIES” patch and the right sleeve has the Majestic logo embroidered in white. Posada’s number “20” is also handwritten in black marker on the Majestic tag on the front left tail. This pullover comes with a LOA from Steiner Sports (176747) for Posada’s use.
