Alan Trammell, the six-time Golden Glove shortstop spent his entire career with the Detroit Tigers where he was a six-time All-Star, a World Series Champion and World Series MVP. Trammell’s big bat earned him three Silver Slugger Awards. Tram's .285 lifetime average puts him among the best hitting shortstops of all-time. Offered in this lot are four game used items from Trammell’s playing days.
The first item is a navy Detroit Tigers road cap worn during the 1985-87 seasons. This size 7 1/8 vented cap was made by New Era and features the Tigers’ Olde English “D” that is embroidered on the front in orange. The green underside brim has Trammell’s number “3” handwritten in black marker and Trammell has signed this cap in black marker, inscribing “1990-All Star Cap”. Please note that Trammell has incorrectly inscribed the date. The cap displays moderate use and comes with a LOA from J.T. Sports for the game use.
The next two items are a pair of Franklin batting gloves. These white gloves have an orange back with a white patch sewn on with “FRANKLIN” printed in black. Trammell has signed his name in black marker on the white wrist straps of each glove. These gloves display outstanding game use with heavy wear on the palms, especially on the left glove. The palm side wrist strap has orange and white stripes and an “Authentic Diamond Collection” patch on each. These gloves come with a LOA from J.T. Sports for the game use. The final item in this lot is an orange Franklin wrist band. This band displays excellent use and has “Franklin” embroidered in white. Trammell has signed his name in black marker and inscribed “3”.
