Uruguayan defender and celeste captain Jose Nasazzi was awarded this silver pendant by Club Nacional’s Comision Directiva after Nasazzi led Uruguay to the 1930 FIFA World Cup title. The Montevideo native was retroactively named the Best Player of the 1930 World Cup by FIFA after Uruguay claimed the title with a 4-2 victory over archrivals and neighbors Argentina. Nasazzi earned 40 caps for Uruguay and later managed his country from 1942 to 1945.
This offered Club Nacional pendant is silver, with a winged figure etched in high relief on the front in addition to an enamel Club Nacional crest. Etched on the back of the historic pendant is “Club Nacional de Futbol Comision Directiva” and “Jose Nasazzi Campeon 1930”. This incredible pendant is in great condition!
