Former quarterback Ty Detmer spent one season with the Cleveland Browns in 1999. Detmer appeared in five games, starting two of them. This brown Cleveland Browns mesh jersey was worn by Detmer in the 1999 season, the inaugural season of the return of the Browns as an expansion team, following the departure of the original franchise to Baltimore following the 1995 season.
