Presented is a Mickey Mantle signature and inscription on a limited-edition William Lopa painting based on the June 15, 1956 Sports Illustrated cover photograph of the Hall of Fame New York Yankees legend. Mantle has inscribed “Best Wishes Mickey Mantle” in black marker in the lower right side of the multi-colored pop-art print, while the artist has signed his name in the lower left corner in blue paint. Mantle is depicted in pink, brown, blue, green and white paint against a blue and green background. This print has been inscribed “1/1” in blue paint in the lower right corner. The 10 x 12-inch portrait is mounted in a purple matte with black border and displayed in an 18¼ x 20¾-inch black plastic and glass frame.
