Offered is a Muhammad Ali signature on an original William Lopa canvas painting enhancing a photograph of Ali standing over the prone form of Sonny Liston. Ali has signed his name in silver marker in the center of the canvas, just to the right of his figure. The artist has signed his name in red paint in the lower right corner. The painting is inscribed “1/1” in red paint in the lower left corner. The dominant image is the classic Neil Leifer black and white photograph of Ali from the second fight with Liston in Lewiston, Maine on May 25, 1965. Lopa has enhanced the photo with color paint, including red on the boxing gloves, brown skin, a blue and green ring and a dark blue and black background. The 25½ x 30½ -inch canvas is displayed in a 26 ½ x 32-inch white and black wood and glass frame. This item comes with a full LOA from JSA (BB03935).
