Hall of Famer Willie Stargell joined the Atlanta Braves coaching staff in 1986, serving as first base coach from 1986-1988 and was the first minor league hitting coach of Hall of Famer Chipper Jones. Stargell wore this Atlanta Braves road jersey during the 1987 season and this offered button-down Braves road jersey is gray, with “Atlanta” and a tomahawk paraph sewn on the chest in red and navy tackle twill. Navy/red/navy piping runs around the collar and down both sides of the buttons, along with wrapping around the sleeve ends. “STARGELL” is sewn across the back shoulders in navy tackle twill over a matching gray nameplate. Stargell’s customary number “8”, retired by the Pirates, is sewn on the back of the jersey in red and navy tackle twill. A Wilson tag sporting an attached size “48” flag and a “87” year tag is sewn on the front left tail. The inner placket has a soft off-white material for player comfort. On the inside center front tail has been stamped in faded black ink “PURCHASED FROM ATLANTA BRAVES”. This jersey displays light use and comes with a LOA from 100% Authentic.
