Undisputedly one of the best baseball players of All-time, Albert Pujols began his career like none other that played the game before him.  In his first 11 seasons, Pujols finished in the top five in MVP voting 10 times including winning three MVP awards.  He hit over 30 Home Runs in his first 12 seasons and hit 100 RBI’s is in each of his first 10 seasons and 11 of his first 12.  In 2006 Pujols, the reigning NL MVP led the Cardinals to their first World Series Victory since 1982.  The Cardinals defeated the Detroit Tigers in the 2006 World Series in five games and came into the 2007 season as an early favorite for a repeat National League Crown.

To start off the 2007 season, the reigning World Champion Cardinals hosted the New York Mets in St. Louis.  The Cardinals received their World Series rings and sported 2006 World Series Champions patches on their hats during the entire series.  This offered hat specifically bears the number “5” inscribed in black marker on the underneath, along with the initials “AJ, IS and DP” which denotes the names of Albert Pujols children, a trait commonly found on Albert Pujols game used equipment.  The hat has the 2006 World Series Champions patch sewn on the side and been authenticated by J.T. Sports regarding the game use during the Home opening series of 2007, fresh off the Cardinals World Series winning season.
