Alex Rodriguez used this bat in batting practice during the 2003 season to hone the skills that would win him his first AL MVP Award. He would lead the majors with 47 home runs to go with his .298 average, 118 RBI 30 doubles, 124 runs scored and 17 stolen bases. Looking every inch the bat used by an MVP Award-winner, the X-Bat Model 73 bat shows great batting practice use. The barrel is covered with ball marks that include stitch impressions and white leather ball scuffs. There is cleat imprinting on all sides and bat rack paint streaks are present. The bat’s weight “35” is handwritten on the barrel in silver marker and a moderate to heavy coat of pine tar is present on the handle. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18648) for the game use.
