Presented is a Cal Ripken Jr. signature on a 2001 Baltimore Orioles vs. Toronto Blue Jays game-used base. The Hall of Fame Baltimore Orioles infielder has signed his name in black marker on the white plastic and vinyl Hollywood Base Jack Corbett model, to the right of the orange and black number “8” at the center of the base. The front edge of the base has a white and blue “Toronto Blue Jays” plaque, while the right edge has an orange and black number “8” plaque, and there are two red, white and blue American flag plaques on the back and left edges. There are light brown dirt marks on the top and underside of the base. On the underside of the base is a light brown piece of masking tape with “3rd” inscribed in red pen. Ripken concluded his 21-year Major League Baseball career in the 2001 season, and he and the Orioles played at the SkyDome in Toronto for the final time that season on September 18, 19 and 20, 2001. This item comes with a STICKER ONLY from Sports Memorabilia (127466), an MLB Authenticated hologram (GT00040602) and a COA from Beckett Authentication (S31801).
