Hall of Famer Ken Griffey, Jr had two of his best seasons in 1998 and 1999 with the Seattle Mariners as he tied his career high in home runs with 56 in 1998 and followed that up with 48 home runs in 1999. Both home run totals were American League highs. Offered here is a Seattle Mariners’ alternate navy mesh jersey worn by Griffey during the 1998 and 1999 seasons. The jersey features “MARINERS” arched across the chest in sewn on silver, blue and green tackle twill. “GRIFFEY” has been sewn on a matching navy mesh name plate on the back along with the sewn on “24”. The left sleeve has the Seattle Mariners logo patch sewn on with the right sleeve having the Majestic logo embroidered. The Majestic logo tag and size 48 flag are sewn on the front left tail. The jersey has been dated to the two seasons based on a lack of a Jackie Robinson patch worn in 1997 and Griffey signing with the Cincinnati Reds for the 2000 season. This jersey displays light game use and comes with a LOA from Sports Investors Authentication (200122D3) for the game use.
