One of the flashiest and stylistic players to grace the diamond, all-time runs and stolen bases leader Rickey Henderson was elected to the Hall of Fame on his first ballot in 2009, but if he’d have had it his way it would have been later; Rickey never wanted to stop playing which is why he ended up playing for the Newark Bears of the independent Atlantic League in 2003 immediately after 25 illustrious big league seasons. This PSA pre-certified fanatical collector’s lot includes a timeline of numerous mementos from Rickey’s final season in professional baseball including: 10 signed Official Atlantic League balls which were fouled off, (seven signed very carefully in ball point pen ink and three batting practice balls signed neatly in black marker) five-unsigned balls fouled-off by Rickey and three game-used unsigned balls as well as 15 Newark Bears game tickets, 18 Bears team schedules (11 with photo of Rickey on the cover), and 38 personal photographs of Rickey taken during the 2003 season.
