Known for taking over the late Dale Earnhardt’s ride, Kevin Harvick continues to be one of NASCAR’s most consistent stars. Harvick was the 2001 NASCAR Rookie of the Year, was the winner of the 2014 Sprint Cup Series and winner of 110 races combining the NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoor Truck Series competitions covering a 20-year span.
After a disappointing 19th place finish in the Sprint Cup standings in 2009, Harvick had a bounce-back year in 2010, finishing with a solid third place finish, only 41 points behind champion Jimmie Johnson. At that time, it was Harvick’s best overall finish. Among the highlights for Harvick, was the win at the 2010 Aaron’s 499 on April 25th, which was the first of two races held at the famed Talladega Superspeedway in Talladega, Alabama. Harvick, driving the No. 29 Chevrolet car, finished ahead of Jamie McMurray and Juan Pablo Montoya to capture the crown.
Offered here is the very racing suit worn by Harvick during his victory at Talladega. This yellow and red one-piece suit is a zipper-down front and has the main sponsors Shell (logo) and “PENNZOIL” on the front with a yellow waist strap that has “Kevin Harvick” embroidered in red and black stitching with an embroidered American flag. Sponsors appearing on the yellow torso include “SKF”, “OKUMA”, “Team REALTREE”, “Jersey John’s SO FAST YOU”LL FREAK RACING!”, “GOOD YEAR” and “RCA”. The upper chest, shoulders and sleeves, along with the sides have red with a thin black border. Sponsors on the red include “PENNZOIL”, “SIMPSON”, the Chevy logo in white, ‘Coca Cola”, “Reese’s”, “EMERSON”, “FREIGHTLINE”, “Safety-Kleen”, ODYSSEY THE EXTREME BATTERY” and “Sunoco”. The back has “kevinharvick.com” embroidered in black on the red portion and “rcrracing.com” on the yellow with the Shell logo below and “PENNZOIL” sewn on in black and white. This suit is made of Nomex and other flame retardant materials and Harvick has signed his name in black marker to the left of the Shell logo on the font. This suit has been photo matched and authenticated by Sports Investors Authentication, who have provided a LOA. There is also a LOA from Beckett Authentication for the signature.
