Presented is a lot of 42 multi-sport signed items including magazines, postcards, photographs and other “flats” signed by a variety of sports legends including Julius “Dr. J.” Erving and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar from the National Basketball Association, Bobby Hull from the National Hockey League, Hall of Fame slugger Reggie Jackson, Major League Baseball’s “Hit King” Pete Rose, and golf legend Gene Sarazen, among others. The first item in this lot is a Hockey Hall of Fame star Phil Esposito signature in silver marker on the front cover of the August 1993 issue of Tampa Bay Lightning Flash the Official Magazine of the Tampa Bay Lighting. Esposito has signed his name the color photo of him as the NHL franchise’s General Manager with their 1993 draft pick Chris Gratton on the cover of the 10½ x 13-inch newspaper supplement. The second item in this lot is a Phil Esposito signature in black marker on a full ticket to the Tampa Bay Lightning December 2, 1994 game. The third item in this lot is a Phil Esposito signature in silver marker on the black cardstock front cover of the Tampa Bay Lightning’s 1996-1997 season ticket package. All 38 home game tickets are intact in the 6 x 10½-inch saddle-stitched booklet. The fourth item in this lot is a Kareem Abdul-Jabbar signature in silver marker on an 8 x 10-inch color action photograph of the Los Angeles Lakers center against Houston Rockets center Bill Willoughby in a 1980-1981 NBA season game. He has signed his name “Abdul Jabbar”. The fifth item in this lot is a Jim Catfish Hunter signature on the front cover of a “Cooking with “Catfish” Hunter” recipe booklet featuring “Tasty Recipes for People with Diabetes”. The Hall of Fame pitcher has signed his name in blue marker on the front cover which features the former New York Yankees ace in a white chef’s hat with a Yankees pinstriped apron, holding a pie. The 6 x 9-inch glossy paper booklet is 28 pages in length and was published by Upjohn Pharmaceuticals in 1990. 

The sixth item in this lot is a Mark Messier signature in black marker on the back-cover advertisement for Starter Authentic Teamwear on a Tampa Bay Tritons hockey game program from August 12, 1994. The ad features a photo of Messier in his New York Rangers uniform and a Rangers baseball cap. The seventh item in this lot is a Julius Erving signature on the loose front cover of the May 4, 1987 issue of Sports Illustrated featuring a photo of the former Philadelphia Seventy-Sixers star in his white warmups as he retires from the NBA.  Erving has signed his name in black marker on the cover. The eighth item in this lot is a Gary Player signature in black marker on an 8 x 10½-inch color publicity photograph handout of the PGA Tour legend for the “Gary Player Group”. The ninth item in this lot is an Ozzie Smith signature in silver marker on the black vinyl front cover of the hardcover “1996 Ozzie Smith Calendar”. The Hall of Fame St. Louis Cardinals shortstop has signed his name below an embossed gold signature on the front cover, which also features an embossed gold logo “OZ Ozzie Smith 1978-1996”. The hardcover book features color photos of Smith both with the San Diego Padres and the Cardinals and celebrates his career in Major League Baseball on calendar pages for his final season. The 10th item in this lot is a Danny Wuerffel signature in black marker on the front cover of the September 2, 1995 University of Florida Gators vs. Houston Cougars football game program. The 11th item in this lot is a Danny Wuerffel signature in black marker on the front cover of the January 1996 issue of Florida Sportsfan magazine featuring the former University of Florida quarterback. The 12th item in this lot is a Pete Rose signature in blue marker on the front cover of the January/February 1992 issue of Legends Sports Memorabilia Price Guide featuring a color painting collage of the Cincinnati Reds star’s Major League Baseball career.

The 13th item in this lot is a Brooks Robinson signature in blue marker on the front cover of the July/August 193 issue of Legends Sports Memorabilia Price Guide featuring a color painting collage of the Hall of Fame Baltimore Orioles third baseman’s career.  The 14th item in this lot is a Lenny Dykstra signature and inscription on the front cover of the Spring 1991 issue of The Show magazine, published by the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association. The former Philadelphia Phillies centerfielder has signed his name in black marker on his photo and inscribed “#4” below his signature. The 15th item in this lot is a David Cone signature in light blue marker on the front cover of The Show Yearbook 1992. The former New York Mets pitcher has signed his name over a color photo of the ace in his Mets uniform. The 16th item in this lot is a Dwight Evans signature in blue marker on the front cover of the June 1990 issue of The Show magazine. The former Boston Red Sox right fielder and first baseman has signed his name over his color photo. The 17th item in this lot is a Dave Stewart signature in gold marker on his photo in an Oakland Athletics uniform on the cover of the July 1990 issue of The Show. The 18th item in this lot is a Juan Marichal signature on the cover of the Juan Marichal Hall of Fame Day commemorative booklet issued by the San Francisco Giants on July 10, 1983. The Hall of Fame pitcher has signed his name in blue marker.

The 19th item in this lot is a Joe Smith signature in blue marker on a color 8 x 10-inch reproduction action photograph of the former Golden State Warriors center. The 20th item in this lot is a Tom Weiskopf signature in black marker on an 8 x 10-inch color MacGregor Golf publicity photo. The 21st item in this lot is a Harmon Killebrew signature in blue pen on a 3½ x 6½-inch 1984 Hall of Fame Induction First Day Cover celebrating the Hall of Fame Minnesota Twins slugger’s August 12, 1984 induction at Cooperstown. The 22nd item in this lot is a Rollie Fingers signature in blue marker on a 3½ x 6½-inch 1992 Hall of Fame Induction First Day Cover celebrating the Hall of Fame relief pitcher’s August 2, 1992 induction into Cooperstown. The 23rd item in this lot is a Brooks Robinson signature in blue marker on a 3½ x 6½-inch Hall of Fame Induction Silk Limited Edition Commemorative First Day Cover celebrating the induction of the Baltimore Orioles third baseman on July 31, 1983. The 24th item in this lot is a Hal Newhouser signature in blue pen on a 3½ x 6½-inch 1992 Hall of Fame Induction First Day Cover commemorating the induction of the former Detroit Tigers ace on August 2, 1992.

The 25th item in this lot is a Reggie Jackson signature in blue pen on a limited-edition, 4 x 9½-inch National Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum First Day Cover commemorating the former New York Yankees slugger’s August 1, 1993 induction. The Cooperstown, New York postmark features an image of Jackson at bat over a Babe Ruth 20-cent stamp and a Lou Gehrig 25-cent stamp, with gold embossed Hall of Fame logo and laurel and a black & white illustrated collage of Jackson in a Yankees uniform, swinging a bat, and an aerial view of Yankee Stadium. The 26th item in this lot is a Sam Snead signature in black marker on an 8 x 10-inch sepia-toned photograph of the legendary golfer posed sitting on the grass, holding a putter, wearing argyle socks, a neck tie and sweater vest, and a straw hat. The 27th item in this lot is a Bobby Hull signature in blue marker on an 8 x 10-inch color photograph of the former Chicago Black Hawks star on the ice, hockey stick in hand, leaning over in anticipation of the puck. The 28th item in this lot is a Bobby Hull signature in blue marker on the front cover of the program for the July 9, 1995 Youth Hockey Benefit All-Star Hockey Game held at the Tampa Bay (Florida) Skating Academy. The 29th item in this lot is a Willie McCovey signature in blue marker on the front cover of “The Hall of Fame Giants In Commemoration of Willie McCovey’s Induction, Summer, 1986” booklet issued by the San Francisco Giants to honor all Giants players in the Baseball Hall of Fame. The 30th item in this lot is a Curly Neal signature and inscription on a 5 x 7-inch black & white publicity photo of the former Harlem Globetrotters star. Neal has signed his name in black marker and inscribed “Smiles” above his signature.

The 31st item in this lot is a dual-signed limited-edition, 4 x 9½-inch National Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum First Day Cover with the signatures of Jim Bunning (in blue marker) and Earl Weaver (in blue pen). The envelope commemorates their induction at Cooperstown on August 4, 1996. The Cooperstown, New York postmark is accompanied by a Roberto Clemente 20-cent stamp and a Lou Gehrig 25-cent stamp, on an illustrated envelope featuring Bunning, Weaver, William Foster and Edward Hanlon. The 32nd item in this lot is a dual-signed limited-edition, 4 x 9½-inch National Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum First Day Cover with the signatures of Jim Bunning (in blue marker) and Earl Weaver (in blue pen). The envelope commemorates their induction at Cooperstown on August 4, 1996. The 34th item in this lot is an Earl Campbell signature in black marker on a 3½ x 6½-inch Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement First Day Cover commemorating the former New Orleans Saints and Houston Oilers running back’s induction at Canton, Ohio on July 27, 1991. The 35th item in this lot is a Jan Stenerud signature in black marker on a 3½ x 6½-inch Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement First Day Cover commemorating the former Kansas City Chiefs/Green Bay Packers/Minnesota Vikings placekicker’s induction at Canton, Ohio on July 27, 1991. The 36th item in this lot is a Stan Jones signature and inscription in blue pen on a 3½ x 6½-inch Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement First Day Cover commemorating the former Chicago Bears and Washington Redskins guard/defensive tackle’s induction on July 27, 1991 at Canton, Ohio. Jones has signed his name and inscribed “HOF ‘91” below his signature.

The 37th item in this lot is a Byron Nelson signature in black marker on an 8 x 10-inch sepia-toned photograph of the legendary golfer posed in a leaning on a putter in a V-neck sweater and necktie. The 38th item in this lot is a Hubert Green signature in black marker on an 8½ x 11-inch Rainbow Sports black & white publicity photograph of the 1977 U.S. Open and 1985 PGA Championship golfer. The 39th item in this lot is a Laura Baugh signature in black marker on an 8 x 10-inch color action photograph of the former LPGA golfer. The 40th item in this lot is an Annika Sorenstam signature in black marker on an 8½ x 11-inch color Cutter & Buck publicity photograph of the LPGA golf star. The 41st item in this lot is a dual-signed cover of the July/August 1991 issue of Legends Sports Memorabilia Price Guide with the signatures of Hall of Fame pitchers Ferguson Jenkins and Gaylord Perry in blue marker over illustrations of the two accompanied by an illustration of Rod Carew. The 42nd item in this lot is a Mark Gardner signature on the front cover of a special edition of Legends Sports Memorabilia magazine sold at the grand opening of the Ted Williams Retrospective Museum & Library in Citrus Hills, Florida on February 9, 1994. Gardner, an American artist, has signed his name in blue marker on his front cover collage illustration celebrating the career of the Hall of Fame Boston Red Sox left fielder. The 43rd item in this lot is a Danny Wuerffel signature in black marker on the front cover of the February 1997 issue of Florida Sportsfan magazine featuring the former University of Florida quarterback. The 44th item in this lot is a dual-signed front cover of the Detroit Lions vs. Denver Broncos Game Day program from July 27, 1991 at Canton, Ohio, featuring the signatures of 1991 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees Stan Jones and Earl Campbell in black marker. Jones has signed his name and inscribed “HOF ‘91” below his signature in the lower left of the cover, while Campbell has signed his name in black marker in the center. This entire lot has been pre-certified by Beckett Authentication.
