In what was Babe Ruth’s first New York Yankee World Series, the New York Giants defeated their city and stadium rivals 5-3, in what was then a best-of-9 World Series. The 9.25 x 11 inch scored program cover features large portrait images of each club's respective manager, John McGraw and Miller Huggins, while the interior pages include photos of league and team officials, as well as portraits of 24 members of both the Yankees and Giants. Because both teams called the Polo Grounds home in 1921, the programs for all of the games, published by Harry M. Stevens, were identical in design. The 16-page program is unscored and in good overall condition and all of the pages are fully intact. There is a slight tear on the back page on the upper-middle left side. There is also edge wear.
