The St. Louis Cardinals won the 1926 World Series in a fantastic seven game series, culminating when Babe Ruth was thrown out in the 9th inning of Game 7 when attempting to steal second base. This program is from Yankee Stadium where Games 1, 2 6 & 7 were played. The Cardinals’ took three of the four games played at Yankee Stadium. The pre-printed lineups include Ruth, Gehrig, Lazzeri, Combs, and Meusel for New York, and Hornsby, Bottomley, Hafey, and Alexander for St. Louis. This large format 9 ¼ x 11-inch program features portraits of each participant. This program is in good condition with moderate edge wear on the spine and small tear marks on the bottom front center and lower right edge of the cover. All of the pages appear to be intact and there are other wear marks present.
