It was the Super Bowl before there was a Super Bowl. In 1967, the animosity between the American and National Football Leagues resulted in the first ever championship contest between the two. Later officially named the “Super Bowl,” that game featured the NFL’s Green Bay Packers meeting the AFL’s Kansas City Chiefs on January 15, 1967 at the famed Coliseum in Los Angeles. This extensive game program is 144 pages plus cover – which includes fold-out illustration of both teams – and features reviews of each of the teams in both leagues. (Note, while it is not officially referred to as such, the term “Super Bowl” is used in some of the print advertisements).
