Offered is a collection of four photographs, including three signed, featuring Bobby Thomson, Ralph Branca and the historic “Shot Heard Round the World” from the New York Giants pennant-clinching win over the Brooklyn Dodgers on October 3, 1951. The first item in this collection is a dual-signed, 8 x 10-inch black and white action photograph showing the aftermath of Thomson’s home run at the Polo Grounds in New York. Thompson has signed his name in blue marker and inscribed “The Shot Heard Round the World Oct. 3, 1951” below his signature on the left of the photo, while Branca has signed his name in blue marker on the right. This item comes with a COA from JSA (GG47893). The second item in this collection is a Branca signature and inscription on an 8 x 10-inch black & white photo of the exterior of Ebbets Field in Brooklyn, New York on “VE” Day, May 8, 1945. Branca has signed his name in blue marker in the upper right corner and inscribed “V.J. Day Aug. 1945” below his signature. This item comes with a COA from JSA (GG47882). The third item in this collection is a 5 x 7-inch black and white action photo of Thomson crossing home plate, signed and inscribed by the Giants star.  Thomson has inscribed “I did not get a sign for “the shot heard round the world” Oct. 2, 1951” above his signature in blue pen in the upper center of the photo. This item comes with a COA from JSA (GG47887). The fourth item in this collection is a Bobby Thomson signature and inscription on an 8 x 10-inch black and white photo of Thomson hugging Giants manager Leo Durocher in the clubhouse. Thomson has signed his name in blue marker and inscribed “Oct. 3, 1951” below his signature. This item comes with a STICKER ONLY from JSA (GG47884).
