The 1998 edition of the New York Yankees were one of the most dominant baseball teams of the modern age, finishing the regular season with a record of 114-48. Their record increased to a staggering 125-50 after a successful playoff run where the Yankees dropped only two games, both coming in the ALCS against the Cleveland Indians. The Yankees swept the San Diego Padres in the World Series, as Mariano Rivera saved three of the four Fall Classic contests.

Offered here is an Official 1998 World Series Allan H. Selig stamped baseball with 18 signatures from the 1998 World Champion New York Yankees. Hall of Famers Derek Jeter and Joe Torre have signed their names in blue pen across the sweet spot. The east panel with the World Series logo stamp has the signatures of Daryl Strawberry, Graeme Lloyd and David Cone. The west panel with the Rawlings stamp has the signatures of David Wells, Jose Cardenal, Scott Brosius and Joe Girardi. The north panel has Bernie Williams, Orlando Hernandez (inscribed “Duke” and “26”), Shane Spencer and Jeff Nelson. The south panel has the signatures of Homer Bush, Ramiro Mendoza, Ricky Ledee, Mike Stanton and Luis Sojo. All of the signatures have been signed in blue pen and the ball is in excellent condition, displaying only slight toning. The signatures are clear and this ball comes with a LOA from Beckett Authentication.
