Offered is a Wayne Gretzky signature and inscription on a five-photo color montage of the all-time National Hockey League great hanging up his skates after his final game on April 18, 1999. The “Great One” has signed his name in blue marker in the fifth-and-final image on the right side of the display, and inscribed “99” below his signature. The image shows Gretzky in his New York Rangers home jersey, on the bench in the locker room, taking off his skates and then hanging them over his head in five color images reproduced as a roll of Kodak Gold color film. The 10 x 51-inch image is mounted in a black matte with red and blue border. Below the photo collage is a 2½ x 8-inch silver metal plaque with black engraving with the caption “Wayne Gretzky 9 Hart Memorial Trophies 2 Conn Smythe Trophies 5 Lady Byng Trophies 10 Art Ross Trophies 5 Lester B. Pearson Trophies 4 Stanley Cups”. The collage, plaque and matte are displayed in a 20½ x 59-inch black wood and glass frame.
