Presented are the signatures of Hall of Fame New York Yankees Mariano Rivera and Derek Jeter as well as teammate Andy Pettitte and Jorge Posada on an original painting of the “Core Four” by artist Armando Villarreal. Each of the “Core Four” have signed their names on the canvas in gold marker near their image on the collage, which is an original acrylic painting on board. The collage features Jeter swinging a bat at the center in his white Yankees pinstripes, while in the lower center Posada is depicted in his navy-blue catcher’s gear, Rivera is pitching in the lower left, and Pettite is pitching in the upper right. The painted board is displayed in a 32½ x 42½-inch black wood frame. Each member of the “Core Four were key contributors to the Yankees' late-1990s dynasty that won four World Series championships in five years. Jeter, Pettitte, Posada, and Rivera were drafted or signed as amateurs by the Yankees in the early 1990s. They played together in the minor leagues, and they each made their Yankee Major League Baseball debuts in 1995. By 2007, they were the only remaining Yankees from the franchise's dynasty of the previous decade. All four players were on the Yankees' active roster in 2009 when the team won the 2009 World Series—its fifth championship in the previous 14 years. This item comes with a COA from Victory Fine Art and four COA’s from Steiner Sports.
