Aaron Judge opened his historic 2017 season with the New York Yankees at Tampa Bay on April 2nd. Despite losing 7-3 to the Rays on Opening Day, Judge managed to crack the lone extra-base hit of the game for the Yankees as he lined a Chris Archer pitch to left field that scored Starlin Castro for his first RBI of the season and the Yankees first run of the season. It would be a remarkable season for the big righty as he set a then rookie record for home runs with 52 and was the unanimous choice for American League Rookie of the Year.

This offered Official Major League Robert D. Manfred, Jr. stamped baseball was used during Opening Day of 2017 in Tampa Bay. This ball was used for three pitches from Rays hurler Danny Farquhar to Yankees batter Greg Bird. Bird struck out on three pitches (one called strike, two swinging) before the ball was taken out of play. The ball displays excellent game use with dirt marks and abrasions and has the “2017 OPENING DAY” logo stamp on the side panel. This ball comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (JC200731) authenticating this ball was used for the three pitches in the top of the eighth inning during the April 2nd, 2017 game.
