Even at the age of 41, all-time saves leader and Hall of Famer Mariano Rivera was still mowing down the competition. Rivera recorded 44 saves and had an ERA of 1.91 during the 2011 season as he pursued the 600-career save mark. Rivera would pick up career save number 600 in Seattle on September 13, 2011, which was his 41st save of the season.

This Official Major League Allan H. Selig baseball was used by Rivera during his pursuit of 600 saves in the 2011 season. This ball shows excellent game use with numerous dirt stains and the rub down appearance. Rivera signed his name in blue pen across the sweet spot and inscribed “Road to 602 11 Last out”. This baseball comes with a signed LOA from Mariano Rivera, who with Steiner Sports authenticates the game use and signature on this baseball and a COA from Steiner Sports, authenticating the signature on the ball. There is a COA from PSA/DNA (AE11214) authenticating Rivera’s signature on Steiner’s LOA and there is a full LOA from PSA/DNA (AD07787) authenticating Rivera’s signature and inscriptions on the ball. Please note, this ball was used by Rivera to record the final out in one of his saves from his record-breaking 2011 season, when he passed Trevor Hoffman's record of 601 career saves to become the all-time leader.
